Ep 139: Rio Grande Turkey Hunting 101 With Cable Smith

Cable Smith is back on the show to talk about Rio Grande Turkey hunting with us. Rio Grande Turkey are a pretty widespread sub-species of turkey in the state of Texas (as well as a couple of other states) and are a lot of fun to hunt. Like we discussed last week with Jay Scott, a lot of the things that apply to hunting Eastern and Merriam’s Turkey definitely apply to hunting Rio Grande turkey as well, but they are a unique sub-species of turkey though and there are some unique twists involved with hunting them. Cable has done a lot of hunting for Rio Grande turkey over the years, so pay close attention to what he has to say because they share some VERY useful information that will set you up for success if you ever decide to hunt Rio Grande turkey in the future.
