Though caribou hunting isn’t normally considered extremely dangerous, things can get scary in a hurry in the Alaska backcountry if you’re unprepared. Joseph von Benedikt is back on the show again today to share the story of his successful 2020 Alaska solo backcountry caribou hunt. Though he tagged a beautiful caribou bull on the hunt, he also dealt with some pretty harrowing conditions. In this episode, he shares the story of his hunt with us along with some valuable lessons he learned along the way.
So, Joseph is going to share the story of his hunt with us, share some lessons he learned along the way, and give a couple of pointers to those who are interested in going on a caribou hunt in Alaska themselves at some point in the future
